From good to worse??

As the guests assembled for the marriage, there was happiness on all the faces gathered. But after some time, the was sadness. Wine had run out and the wedding was still going on and nobody knew what to do.Then Mary said to Jesus,"They have no wine!" And Jesus replied that it was not yet his time. And indeed his time is the best! Then Mary said to the servants in charge that they should do whatever Jesus would tell them. And he told them to fill the empty jars with water and the water was turned to wine. How happy and peaceful how lives would be if we would just do what he says. When he says he will forgive us and cleanse is from all our unrighteousness if we confess our sins to him! How clean and happy we would be if we confess our sins to him. When he says he will give us whatever we ask the Father through his name! We would receive if we asked! When he says whoever believes in me shall not perish but have everlasting life, if we believe, we will have it. When we take Jesus at his word, and trust him that what he says he will do, he would supply the fact of whatsoever his word says. The just shall live by his faithfulness(Romans1:17).

Now here is the punchline. "..and when the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not know where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now."(John 2:9,10).

'As men set forth the best wine first, then afterward that which is worse, so does the world(sin if I may say) with its gifts. That which it offers may please the eye and fascinate the senses, but it proves to be unsatisfying. The wine turns to bitterness, the happiness to gloom. That which was begun with songs and delight ends in weariness and disgust. But the gifts of Jesus are ever fresh and new. The feast that He provides for the soul never fails to give satisfaction and joy' (Desire of Ages 148.3).

From good to bad? Nope! In Jesus it always gets better! A life with Jesus is filled with Joy and pleasures evermore!Psalm 16:11
